You know ladder logic in theory — but freeze in front of a real Allen-Bradley controller?

  • Most PLC courses stop at "turn on a light with a button."
  • On the job you face RSLinx configuration, IP addresses with BOOTP, and I/O mapping.
  • UDT structures, PLC-to-HMI communication, and fault handling are rarely taught step by step.
  • This course closes the gap inside the real ecosystem: RSLogix 500, Studio 5000, MicroLogix 1100, CompactLogix, and FactoryTalk View.
  • Theory disconnected from real Rockwell hardware leaves you stuck on day one.

What You'll Be Able to Do

  • Write, debug, and download a ladder logic program to a real Allen-Bradley controller
  • Set up communication: RSLinx, IP addressing via BOOTP, firmware, and external devices
  • Build logic with timers, counters, comparators, bit shifts, and signal scaling
  • Create and manage tags and UDT structures in Studio 5000
  • Connect a PLC to an HMI panel in FactoryTalk View ME and animate operator screens
  • Troubleshoot like a pro: forcing I/O, cross-referencing, and fault handling

Learn From Working Automation Engineers

  • Real hardware, real software — the Rockwell stack, not a detached simulation
  • Substance over filler — ~12 hours of dense, practical material
  • Learn by building — every concept reinforced on an actual project
  • Lifetime access — revisit any lesson, including future updates

Who Is This Course For?

  • Automation or controls technicians moving into the Allen-Bradley world
  • Students and career-changers who know ladder basics and want real skills
  • Engineers on another PLC brand who want to master the Rockwell ecosystem
  • Anyone who wants a portfolio of two working projects, not just a certificate

What You Get When You Enroll

  • 75 practical video lessons (~12 hours of hands-on content)
  • Two complete industrial projects — MicroLogix 1100 + CompactLogix with HMI
  • Free Rockwell emulators — start without any hardware
  • Instructor support via Discord chat and live webinars
  • Lifetime access — learn at your own pace, forever
  • Certificate of completion to boost your CV and LinkedIn

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a physical controller to take this Allen-Bradley PLC programming course?

No. We show free emulators (RSLogix Emulate 500) and simulators, so you can practice without hardware. A real PLC makes it even faster, but it is not required to start.

Is Rockwell software paid?

In Module 3 we show how to legally download the free versions of RSLogix 500, RSLinx, and the emulator. Studio 5000 is covered in a full environment.

Where do I start if I don't know ladder logic?

With Modules 2 and 3 — they start from zero. The whole course is structured progressively, lesson by lesson, so no prior PLC experience is required.

How long do I have access?

Forever, including future updates to the material.

What does this Allen-Bradley PLC programming course actually cover?

RSLogix 500, Studio 5000 (RSLogix 5000), MicroLogix 1100, CompactLogix, FactoryTalk View HMI, plus alarms and fault handling — across 75 lessons and two full industrial projects.

Ready to Actually Program Allen-Bradley?

75 lessons, two industrial projects, and a complete skill set from RSLogix 500 to Studio 5000 — all in one place.
